Wisconsin Angus Auxiliary high school 2012 scholarship winner

Luke Tremaine
Luke Tremaine is the recipient of the Wisconsin Angus Auxiliary high school 2012 scholarship. Luke resides on the family farm with his parents Mark and Karen Tremaine of Oconomowoc, WI. His experience within the Angus bred has grown tremendously in the past 12 years. Luke owns a small herd of Angus cattle. He has competed in many State and National Angus shows. At the present time Luke has chosen to focus on a solid breeding program for his cattle. His future plans include attending U W Madison this fall to major in Animal science. Luke states that the Angus cattle industry has taught him valuable life lessons such as hard work and marketing of his animals.
Ty Bayer is the recipient of the Wisconsin Angus Auxiliary post-secondary 2012 scholarship. Ty is a student at Lincoln Land Community College where he is majoring in Animal science. His parents are Scott and Mia Bayer of Ringle, WI. Ty is dedicated to developing, improving, and promoting not only the family herd of Angus cattle but also the Angus industry. Ty is confident that the experience and skills he has gained through being an integral part of the Angus community will make him an asset to the breed of Angus Cattle.

Kelly Retallick received an $800 scholarship, Amber Horstmeyer received a $600 scholarship and Kelsi Retallick received the post secondary education scholarship of $500. Kelsey Konkol was named the 2009 Miss Wisconsin Angus Queen. This is a reminder that the Wisconsin Angus Auxiliary will once again be running the food booth at the Wisconsin Angus Breeders Sale on March 22 in Lancaster, so please come hungry! The Auxiliary will also be holding their annual Dessert Auction at the spring sale. This is our main funding source for scholarships, so any dessert donations would be greatly appreciated. Come to the auction, bid often and bid high!
