Angus Board Sends Help to Wild Fire Relief Fund
The Board of Directors of Wisconsin Angus Association, at their March Meeting, voted to donate $750 to each Wildfire Relief Fund in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado.
Breeders will have more opportunities to join the efforts to help fellow producers in the disaster areas as more are organized.
Allen Moczygemba, chief executive officer of the American Angus Association, discussed the long term strategic objectives of the association and its four entities: Certified Angus Beef LLC, Angus Productions Inc., Angus Genetics Inc and Angus Foundation.
Mel Niemann, Edgar, was recognized for serving six years on the Wisconsin Angus Association Board of Directors. President, Jeff Berget, makes the presentation.
Keri and Kevin Retallick, 2K Cattle Enterprises, Glen Haven, were named Breeder of The Year, They are also the breeder of the Show Bull of The Year, 2K Class Act 875, owned by Keene Farms, Potosi.. President, Jeff Berget, make the presentation.
Evan Henning, Henning Farms, Janesville, exhibited the Show Heifer of The Year, BCII Sandy 0215. Henning Farms were also named Exhibitor of the Year. President, Jeff Berget presents the award.
Breeders and guests at the Annual Meeting enjoyed biding on the many different items donated to the Silent Auction.
Jackets, sweat shirts and polo shirts with Angus logos, including the logos for the 2018 National Show, were popular with the Angus Breeders.
A number of unique items caught the attention of many.
